This interior is in a quiet corner in a typical 18th century home in the French countryside. It is in a quaint village in the wine region of Chablis. The room, was furnished from a bygone era reflecting French provincial life. I felt at peace here and wanted to replicate that feeling in my painting. The villagers were outside gathering for the annual Fete de Pomme in the square. A community sharing their local produce and having a wonderful time.
