Ghosts of the Forest
- 63 x 53 cm
A$650
Again I have painted trees because they are magnificent and I love how nature displays her beauty while we can see the cycle of life continue around us. These Angophoras have stripped their bark to reveal ghostly white trunk’s standing out against the surrounding green foliage. The ghostlike trees appear to be gathering in a group waiting to frighten the unsuspecting visitor to the forest.

This is a painting of a beautiful part of the Barrington Coast of NSW. A pastoral scene of rolling hills and a myriad of green colours. I painted this because of the beauty of the area but also the peace that came with it. This would look lovely in a country styled home.

Angophera in the afternoon

Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang. Signed on the front. This artwork comes with an external frame An afternoon walk in the nearby bushland led me through an arcade of magnificent Angophora trees where the bark was stripping away, revealing salmon colours beneath and the soft leaves swaying in the breeze. As my inspiration is to depict a moment in time with my artwork, this was definitely one I wanted to represent. I just love the colours that nature gives us. I smile when I paint subjects like these. I have abstracted the work somewhat to exaggerate the shapes and shades of the stripping bark. This is framed in a Victorian Ash box frame. Ready to hang in any room.
