Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang. Signed on the front. This artwork comes with an external frame Wandering through a local farmers market I was drawn to the colours of “Some Radishes “. The gorgeous shades of crimson and soft greens made them look like rubies on velvet cloth. They were in a basket lined with pretty mauve hessian. I love painting still lives and here was something for me to capture in my oils. This one is framed in a natural Victorian Ash frame. There is something earthy and organic about this vegetable. More than just a salad garnish. How nice it would look in a warm family area, in a kitchen, dinning room or sunroom. Anywhere in fact. Maybe a cafe or restaurant.

These were the only fresh ingredients left in my fridge during a recent Covid isolation. I was looking for ideas to paint something and I thought how great the colours of these vegetables looked together, so here they are, captured here to remind me of the Summer of 2022 and catching Covid, in isolation for a week or so. They made for a delicious meal too!
