By the Lake
- 43 x 43 cm
A$440
Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang. Signed on the front. This artwork comes with an external frame I paint to capture a moment in time and maybe evoke an emotion that will make the viewer smile. This is a solitary tree at the edge of a lake as the day comes to a close. It is pleasant and peaceful and intended make one feel at ease. The water gently laps against the lake shore. The sky is putting on a show. The painting is framed in a Tasmanian oak box frame ready to hang.

This grand old Moreton Bay fig tree stands proudly on Observatory Hill in Sydney. It has probably been standing there since the early establishment of the town. A beautiful golden light shone through the tree, focusing on the splendour of the tree and our beautiful harbour in the background. There is serenity here even though it’s sits right on the edge of our major city.

One of the reasons I paint is to capture a moment in time. These marbles are amazing little orbs of glass allowing light to refract colours through them. It takes only a moment to capture this beautiful play of light and then, a few minutes later we see something else. This is science meeting art. Also, of course a fun playground game from times gone by - marbles. The painting is framed in a Tasmanian Oak frame, with both a string hanger and D-rings with wire attached.
