Treachery is a beach on the mid North Coast in NSW. The name is apt, most often an unruly surf beach but with that, you see and ever changing scene and a fixation on what will come next. This particular evening brought a beautiful sunset after some rain. Lots of mood and colour to inspire my work.

The ocean is unpredictable. One can wile the hours away watching the calmness of the water or the ferocity of it. Mother Nature in control. Here we have a rogue wave close to shore, picking up its sandy floor and throwing it all back down again. A dumper, captured at the moment in this painting, before it does its damage - then calm seas behind again. Love our coastline!
