Autumn in the Mountains

Natures wonder of Autumn colour never disappoints, especially in the cooler climate of the Blue Mountains. How can a painter dismiss this opportunity to show the display in all its beauty, so colour is my influence here. Bursts of red, pink, gold and orange overhanging a road leading to somewhere. The last stylised photo shows and example of the painting framed in natural timber. Framing can be arranged through Bluethumb or other.

The Highlands

Not until you drive through the Highlands in Scotland do you realise how majestic they are. Incredible peaks just jut out, seeming to reach the sky. In Autumn they are covered in dying bracken that gives the peaks a rusty colour, and little rivulets flow down the rocky surfaces. It’s very quiet there. A beautiful place.

This artwork joins my "From the Market to the Kitchen" series. A still life painting of heirloom carrots from the local farmers market. Not all carrots are orange of course and that makes this common vegetable a lot more interesting. A fun little painting to add to a still life collection.
