I like to paint threatening skies. This is a painting of a morning storm over the port of Padstow in the UK. It is low tide and but the calmness of this scene will soon be broken by the approaching storm. There is morning light, trying to break through the clouds, but the storm is coming.

Leaves
- 25 x 20 cm
This is the subject I love to paint. Scattered decaying leaves on a plain background, this time a Wedgwood Blue colour. This is a small work ready to hang amongst other paintings or in a little niche space of a room. There are so many wonderful colours that these leaves, fallen from the tree, display as the perish into the soil.

It amazes me how Mother Nature can produce such alien forms. Throughout our rainforests, these toadstools emerge from the luscious leaf litter on the forest floor, a solitary fungus with its sheltering, but probably poisonous cap, playing a part in the ecology of the rainforest. This is a semi abstract painting on a cradled wood panel.
